The Story Of  Our Beginning....
Harold Schuster started in the construction industry right after high school as a heavy equipment operator building state and county roads, along with soil conservation and dam projects with Behrens Construction of Beatrice, Nebraska.

In 1955, Harold joined the U.S. Army and was stationed in Europe in the 160th Sig Corp., worked as a battalion heavy equipment operator building egress roads and also did public relation work for the German Cilvilian sector.

Over the next 20 years, Harold continued to work in the construction field, working for Frieden Construction as an estimator and supervisor of grading projects for Burlington Railroad throughout Colorado, Wyoming, South Dakota and Nebraska.  He was also employed by Pete Hannen Equipment Co. of Denver, Colorado as a heavy equipment salesman and worked with numerous coal mining and ore mining companies in the Rocky Mountain, Colorado and Wyoming areas.  If he wasn't working for someone else, he was self-employed subcontracting highway work or working with the Soil Conservation Service building terraces, waterways and watershed dams.......because as he would say "I have to be doing something".

In 1982, he joined forces with Joe Augustine and became the Vice-President of Commercial Contractors, Inc. bidding on and constructing all kinds of earthwork projects.  In December of 1985, Joe and Harold formed Commercial Contractors Equipment , Inc. which officially became incorporated on 1/2/1986.  In July of 1987, with the decision of Joe Augustine to move Commercial Contractors, Inc. to California and do projects there, Harold purchased Joe's half of Commercial Contractors Equipment, Inc. and decided to remain in Nebraska.

Commercial Contractors Equipment, Inc. has since completed multi-million dollar projects in Nebraska, Iowa, Kansas, Oklahoma, Texas and Utah.

Harold remained active in Commercial Contractors Equipment, Inc. serving as President and then CEO until his death in June, 2016.  Harold's wish was that the company continue and he made appropriate provisions.  Commercial Contractors Equipment, Inc. continues today under the leadership of Michael Sibbernsen, President and Lois Scholl, Secretary/Treasurer.
